Viewing Facebook and Flickr Updates

The People application on your phone lets you see all the Facebook and Flickr updates of your contacts in one convenient location. People notifies you automatically of updates so you can stay up to date with the latest events and photos of your friends and family without having to check the Facebook and Flickr websites.

  1. Press HOME, and then tap the All Programs button.

  2. Tap People. People opens on the All tab.
  3. Tap or slide your finger along the bottom row to change to the Updates and events tab. Contacts who have upcoming Facebook events or have recently posted Facebook or Flickr updates appear on this tab along with text describing the type of update.

    4. Notifications are shown when contacts:

    • Have upcoming Facebook events (that is, events that will occur within a month’s time)
    • Update their Facebook status or profile
    • Add pictures to Facebook or Flickr
  4. To see the complete update for a contact, tap the update notification to go to the Updates and events tab of the Contact Details screen for that contact.

    5. If a contact has added photos to Facebook or Flickr, tapping the notification will open the photos for viewing.

  5. Tap a notification on the Updates and events tab for a contact to see more information about the update.
    • Tapping a notification for a Facebook status or profile update will open Browser and load the relevant page in Facebook.
    • Tapping a notification for Facebook or Flickr photos will open the photos for viewing.
